How eRep Integrations Work

eRep uses a REST API (and other technologies) to connect to any application so you can unleash the full power of your data.  Seamlessly integrate with best-of-breed applications and tools with one-way and two-way data pushes to deliver you data when and where you need it. Connect your eRep data with everything in your technology stack from CRM and marketing automation to ERP, sales tax and shipping services.

Connect Lead and Customer Data with Your CRM

eRep’s API can be used for integrating with the eRep Client CRMs directly or through third-party Zapier middleware.  eRep is not designed to work with non-Client CRMs (such as outside Distributors and Manufacturer Reps CRMs) at this time.

The key to integrating with your CRM is to make sure you define where the source of truth is for data.  Ideally, you want one database- your CRM, eRep, or ERP to be defined as the originator of a data object and the other applications to consume that data when a new record is added.

Connect Product and Pricing Data with Your ERP

eRep’s API can be used for integrating with the eRep Client ERP systems directly or through various third-party middleware.  Our integration experts h plan the integration, defining which system will be the source of truth for each object.   Where records are created first can define the source of truth, but there can be variations based upon the way your ERP system works and the workflow of your sales process.   How your ERP deals with items, pricing, discounts, shipping, taxes, and configuration rules also affects how the integration will be planned to work best for your situation.

Leads

Sync data for your lead contact information, sources, life cycle stages, rep assignments and more.

Contacts

Opportunities

Quotes

Share data for your specific quotes across your technology stack. Capture quotes by product, rep, project opportunity and more. Sync them across all related records.

Customer Accounts

Record all related activities including quotes, orders, projects, customer service or warranty tickets along with shared information eliminating the need for duplicate data entry.

Sales Orders

Seemlessly convert quotes that push to your ERP as sales orders and sync all relevant data including pricing, discounts, item lists, bill of materials, or even a copy of the purchase order.

Products, Items, and Services

No more need for manual data entry. eRep can pass through all line items, configured products, accessories, warranty information and other services straight to your ERP saving you time and reducing errors.

Price Lists and Cost Data

Connect your price lists, discount rules, and cost data to ensure accurate pricing for reps using discount multipliers or cost-plus pricing. Protect and grow your margins by ensuring all pricing rules are enforced.  Some manufacturers who used to use spreadsheets for pricing use eRep as their source of truth for pricing rules.  Orders flow into your ERP with accurate pricing, maintained in eRep.

Configuration Rules

eRep can act as your configurator and send final pricing, Kits and BOMs as part of an order.  If you already have configuration rules managed in your ERP, then eRep can consume the rules via API to help you maintain control over your configurations while enabling your sales rep users to quickly and easily configure your products. Plus, you’ll only have to manage the data in one place, thereby giving you a single source of truth for all configuration data.
